Northwest Glass Quest: Looking for Clues on Camano Island

I recently talked about the show Scooby-Doo and why I like it. You may recall me talking about how one of the best parts of the show is the mystery involved and how the protagonists look for clues to help immerse you in the show. What if I told you there is a way you can hunt for clues and live out the Scooby-Doo experience?

You can hunt for clues or clue balls on Camano Island in Washington State during an annual Northwest Glass Quest event.

The local state parks and businesses hide clear clue balls along trails and inside businesses. Some post additional clues on Facebook. If you find a clue ball, you get to trade it in for a handmade blown glass ball. People come from all over to hunt for clue balls.

It can be pretty difficult to find one of these clue balls. This was my sixth-year questing, and I haven’t found a clue ball once! But don’t let that scare you away from trying; the adventure is a part of the fun!

And if you don’t find one but still want a souvenir for your questing, you can purchase one at a local store.

Glass Ball Hunting is a lot of fun, and even though I have never found one, I still enjoy it a lot and recommend it to anyone who enjoys looking for clues, just like Scooby-Doo and the gang!

Now I’ve got a question for you: have you ever had an experience where you had to look for something and find clues like geocaching, Pokemon Go, treasure hunting with a metal detector, etc? Let me know, and always remember to keep on shivering.
