T.V. Show Review: Classic Scooby-Doo

Scooby-Dooby-Doo, Where Are You? We’ve got some work to do now.

Like many people, I grew up with the Scooby-Doo franchise! I feel the show is a must-watch for all ages, especially kids who enjoy something spooky!

Growing up, I watched all of the original Scooby-Doo cartoons. Scooby-Doo has a mystery-based plotline. Each episode has its own mystery, with a new villain. Scooby, a talking dog, along with the mystery gang; Velma, Daphne, Fred, and Shaggy (Norville), search for clues and work together to solve the mystery in each episode.

The Mystery Gang has five likable protagonists, some more flawed than others. Shaggy and Scooby are afraid of everything, and Velma can’t see whenever she loses her glasses.

The villains are always people with a motive who pretend to be monsters, ghosts, etc. At the end of each episode, the villain is caught and unmasked. I enjoyed adventuring with the Mystery Gang in each episode as they worked to uncover clues and figure out who is the villain.

I also love the Scooby-Doo movies, both live-action and cartoon. Every Scooby-Doo movie I’ve seen is formatted like an actual Scooby-Doo episode with a more in-depth mystery. I have enjoyed every Scooby-Doo movie I've watched. I am personally not a fan of the new “Velma” show, which has an adult target audience, so I don't recommend it for kids.

Scooby-Doo reminds us that there are clues all around us and that a mystery always needs solving. If you or your kids haven’t watched Scooby-Doo, I recommend you do!

There are a lot of great classic cartoon shows, but my favorite is Scooby-Doo.

So, tell me, what’s your favorite classic cartoon show? I’m excited to hear what you say and always remember to keep on shivering.

I loved Scooby-Doo, on rainy days I love going through different seasons and versions because I think it's so fun that each generation has a new interpretation of these iconic characters. I don't think this would count as a classic but I loved Danny Phantom as a kid.

Hi Isa, I also enjoy the different iterations of the characters with my favorites being Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated and the original Scooby-Doo Where Are You? I never actually watched Danny Phantom, but I've heard great things about it. Do you think I should give it a try?
