The Power of Persistence

Hello everyone! This weekend, I performed with Kids X Anon at a local event. This was a step in my recovery journey after a couple of challenging years due to injuries. After a foot injury in 2023 and surgery in 2024, I decided to step away from competition dance. This was my second performance since my surgery. Dancing with Kids X Anon, I have enjoyed rejoining a community and performing in a group.
I have learned from being a dancer that consistency and showing up are key to growing. I've learned that it isn’t just about talent; it’s also about persistence. Setbacks are a normal part of the growth.

The discipline I’ve developed through dance influences all areas of my life, including my writing. It’s taught me the importance of resilience and pushing through adversity.
To everyone facing their own challenges, I encourage you to keep moving forward. By continuing to show up and work hard, you open the door to new possibilities. After my surgery last year, I didn't know if I would ever want to dance again. Slowly continuing to dance and show up has reignited my love for dance.
Have you overcome obstacles or found success through perseverance? I’d love to hear about it. Share your stories in the comments below and remember to keep shivering!
